WHAT'S REALLY FOOD?

i wanted to pass out in a greasy heap tonight*.  so, you’re looking at grilled beef rib with a honey bbq glaze, sauteed “pee-wee” (?!) potatoes, and sauteed swiss chard (veggies, ew!).  and, for no good reason other than cheese toast, a brioche dinner roll with melted manchego - one with broiled pork belly with hawaiian charcoal salt and the other with a poached egg.
i also screwed up a pie that was dubbed “hot fruit.”  raspberries and green apples and graham cracker crust.  lesson learned is hot fruit is just as good as pie.
i’m having a heart attack!
*context:  i have been in a fight with keyspan since november 2008, so i don’t have cooking gas in my house.  just a dying hot plate and dying toaster oven.  the novelty of “cooking creatively” wore off after the first hour of life-without-a-stove and i’m too stubborn to concede to the gas giant (cuspy gemini).  so let me use your kitchen!  now my friends are out of town and i get to use their kitchen all i want!  everyone, come eat at chateau tma?  no?  :( View Larger
